General Membership Meeting
Minutes June 2007

Meeting was called to order by President Linda Pratt at 8:12PM. Linda welcomed everyone and asked if there were any corrections to the minutes of the May meeting as posted in the newletter or any additions to the agenda for the evening. Having none the minutes were accepted as published.
Linda asked any visitors or new members to introduce themselves to the group and tell us what type of diving they had done recently.
Secy. Bill Blais reported that many membership dues still needed to be collected, and mentioned that additions to the club directory are still being accepted and would be e-mailed to all others listed in the directory.
Vice Pres. Steve Scigliano reported that the holiday party was booked, that the club had purchased a canopy to use at club events, as well as a banner to display the club name. Also Steve told everyone there would be an event board posted at the shop for club dive sign ups etc.
Linda spoke briefly about LIDA ‘s upcoming and current events,as wellas Wrecksploration’s upcoming dives.
Past President Russ Lusterman reported on the first dive aboard the dive boat “Seahawk”
Linda asked about any members who had recently done any dive travel. Club member David Bush reported on some fresh water diving he had recently done in Florida at Alexandra Springs in Okala National Forest.
Linda gave the Presidents report, again mentioning the Event Board, and then introduced guest speaker John Bricker. John did a great powerpoint presentation of wreck diving on Long Island, showing artifacts, dive photos, maps, and the history of many of our more popular dive sites. John graciously answered many questions members had artifact recovery, maritime rights, artifact restoration, and other areas of interest.
Linda thanked John for joining us and giving up his time to enlighten many of our members.
The 50/50 raffle was picked and the luck winner was ??????????? (the recording secy was too tired at this point to write it down…idiot! )
Having no further business to attend to, the meeting was called to order at 10:15PM
