Ahoy Broadway Divers,
I attended the LIDA seminar April 22nd at the Nassau University Hospital. Butch & Andrea Hendrick made a fantastic presentation on Public Safety Diving. Butch has been teaching and developing surface and sub-surface rescue procedures for 30 years in 15 countries. With over 15,000 dives he might know a thing or two about diving safely.
I wasn't sure of what to expect, my curiosity was peaked, so there I was with about 75 people mostly involved with water rescue. Fire, EMS & Law enforcement. The seminar was packed full of great diving tips geared toward Rescue & Recovery however, I saw much practical application for the sport diver during their presentation.

As a member of Broadway Divers and looking to increase my knowledge of matters involving our sport, I highly recommend attending the LIDA seminars.
The cost to attend the seminar for LIDA members is FREE and $5.00 to non-members.
An annual membership to LIDA is only $20.00.
I'm hooked hope to see you at the next meeting
